When I saw this @bloghomework topic I thought, "OMGs, don't even get me started..." but since I now can't stop thinking about it (thank you @rambo and @missy) the story has to be told. With Food porn for added effect. It's necessary.
If anyone has been following my blog you know that I recently lost a metric fuckton of weight (see my "Dealing With Haters" post) so actually eating this meal at any point in this lifetime has about as much of a chance of happening as Scarlett Johansson showing up at my house and letting me eat it off her supple naked body but it's called fantasy for a reason, I suppose. Anyway, here goes...
First Course:
Cornmeal fried gator, escargot and southern fried frogs legs, served with a Yuengling Lager
Main Course:
50 oz porterhouse and 1 lb Hawaiian lobster tail* (a meal inspired by Charley's Steak House in Tampa) served with a nice, dry merlot
(*this meal is listed as being for two on Charley's menu but I have slaughtered it all by myself and could again, especially since I've gone low carb - I can pack away the protein at competitive eating levels now)
Dessert
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake and Italian style espresso with lemon zest and anisette, followed by several shots of Sambuca to round things out.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I could die happy after that.
