To what can our life on earth be likened?
To a flock of geese,
alighting on the snow.
Sometimes leaving a trace of their passage.

I love the week between Christmas and New Years. It's a great time to kick back, to rest from the past year's labor and to anticipate the New. I have this sense that 2007 will be a great year! And so I enter it full of wonder and anticipation, excited about what it will bring and motivated to embrace it fully. Have been reading poetry which provides great creative stimulus.
It has been so rainy and wet this winter (already), I usually like the rain but this year there has been too much of it. Global climate change is certainly manifesting itself everywhere. Hard to imagine how anyone could deny the reality of it. Saw Al Gore when he was in Seattle in October--he was quite awesome. Clearly, the global community needs to get together and take the challenge on. Of course, we in the States are the biggest contributors to carbon emissions so we need to get our act together and in a big way! And each of us can and must do our part to save this fragile planet earth, our island home.
I love the sun today and the clear blue winter sky. I need to get out in it and enjoy it while it is here. So enough poetry, philosophising and soap boxing for now! Thanks for your indulgence.
OK, be well, greetings to all!
God Jul och God Nyr!!
