My hopes for 2010 have been officially dashed. I came into this year thinking that things couldn't possibly get any worse. So, of course, things got worse. I'm not going to do it to myself again. I won't hang my hat on 2011 as the year of Uncle Galaxy. It's a huge let down when I let myself get excited about the possibilities that never seem to manifest.
The latest kick in the nuts to my family is the relocation of my mom's job. My parents are going to be forced to move to Pittsburgh. There's no other choice. They have until the end of the month to give her boss their final decision, and the end of October to get themselves there and settled in. Mind you, there's nothing she--or any of her coworkers who are in the same spot--can do there that she can't do here. Her life at work is phone calls and computer terminals. That's it. They can all remain remote from corporate. But what corporate wants, corporate gets...whether it's completely disruptive to everyone else's life or practical on any level. Buncha dickbags...
I'm all RedBubbled now... I've had a few people mark my silly drawings as favorites, but no one has put down money yet... boo. I don't blame them. I'd hold out for the good stuff too. It's coming... slowly, but surely.
