I just read a blog about getting tattooed. It's making me want one. I've wanted one for years, but have been afraid of getting something and hating it a year later.
There are, however, two images that I've wanted on my skin for at least 3-4 years, which seems like a good indication that I won't grow tired of them or regret the decision on down the line.
First up, the celtic knot design on the cover of King Crimson's "Discipline" album:
It's nonspecific enough, yet wickedly cool. I think I could have that on me for the rest of my days on this planet and not feel as though it was a bad move.
Number two: the good doctor himself... HST.
I'm not sure where I would put this one... but I have a feeling it'll end up on me someday.
When I was younger, I thought perhaps I'd have Bill the Cat inked on me somewhere, but that idea has faded. Perhaps I should think about these two another year or so before I commit. Maybe they'll turn out to be bad ideas as well. Who knows...

luckily i rock at christmas shopping... i get stuff that no one would expect, like last year i gave a cousin a shirt that said "Soylent Green is People" sadly though no one in the family understood what it meant.
as for the tattoos.. if you decide that you want them but still have a slight fear that you may change your mind on them later then either don't get them or get them someplace that you can easily cover and you won't see often. i still love my first tattoo but i honestly forget that it's on me most of the time cause i almost never see it. lol.
