Got home from New Orleans/Baton Rouge/Alexandria/Lake Charles on the last flight of Oregon Guards on Friday.

I know a few guys that came back. They said it was shitty as hell, but they'd go back if they had to.
I love sleeping in with my new work sched. But I still can't get used to getting to sleep in past the sun coming up. Keep thinking that I've overslept my alarms and that I'm running late for work.

Finally starting to get back to normal. Always takes a couple of weekends after I get back from the field if I don't get a couple of days rest instead of going right back to work the next day like I did this time.

There's just something about getting 4 hours of sleep a night and living in the dirt (not to mention going days between showers) that makes coming back to the "real" world seem sureal.
Sort of like going to listening to 105mm Arty fire while you go to sleep and waking up to 50 Cal.
