I wish some amature league hockey would help me meet her... but i kinda doubt it... plus what the hell would i do if i ever did... i would probably just say some unintelligable things and she would leave... dang...

I am already starting to slack on these entries. Who really wants to hear me drivel on about myself?

Instead, I'll ask a question:

Who is the most interesting person you have recently encountered?

For me, it is a guy named Barry. He is about 60 years old and he makes (or "orchestrates") beautiful necklaces, reads palms, and is generally enthusiastic about every day. It...

mmmhhh...these recent months I've been meeting quite a lot of very peculiar persons....so, i would like to make 3 entries:

Keith Code. he must be about 55/60 years old motorbike pilot and he has developed a quite incredible technique which he explains in several books he done. He's quite a character, so assertrive and strong willed.

Trent Kanuega and Christina . it is the pair behind the Witchblade comics. strange but enthousiastic people, the mind full of thousand things to say and describe.

and thanx for your advice about my back pain. it's gone smile
designaddict:
i LOVE LOVE LOVE meeting interesting people, Eugene is just crawling with them.... I recently met a man who is about 65 years of age, has a doctorate in physics and teaches classes out of his wherehouse on the chaos and gaia theories.....The best part about this guy is that he shows up at every party (electronic) Ive been to and can dance through the night without stopping for air! He is quite amazing, I hope I can be so young at heart when I reach his age smile

So ends the childish fun. Emily and I both celebrated our birthdays this past weekend and I hit the 21 mark. Yes, drinks were had by all. I have taken a liking to white russians. Perhaps a bit too much of a liking...

Man...

Portishead's live version of "Humming" sounds like something Danny Elfman would die for.

What was the last song you listened to that had a major impact on you?

Constantly mixing sound with energy.

And I can assure you, if I ever make a music video, it will involve Christopher Walken AND Steve Buscemi dancing and flying around. Why settle for anything less?

to answer your question...I constantly am dancing around at home to sounds from the stereo or humming along to music on my discman on the way to class...when im not actually listening to music...theres a song running through my head...but everyones like that...right?
- Eugene really doesnt compare to big cities, its like a unique little world and you have to be careful or you can forget that there is life outside of the city limits...its kinda like LA in that way, although its just full of hippies and crazy college kids, people living 'alternative' lifestyles in one way or another...I doubt that even one republican lives in this town, i think the hippies drove the last of them out last summer wink Actually, its a little wierd to live here, its not quite my style, Im just trying to get my architecture degree and then...peace..Im out smile But its a great place for people watching! biggrin
osoesoteric:
You should never settle for less than both of them... the weapon of choice video is probably one of my all time favorties...

This journey's end is another's beginning.

From time to time we all make these realizations that we are making progress. I have made that realization today. I have been in a stale mate for a while now, but things seem to be picking up. I feel my creative juices beginning to thaw (or should I say 'boil' being down here in Florida).

Now, I won't...

>Wow... did you sample that drum part from Portishead?

i don't think so or maybe, it's "old"....it's a remix dating from 1996...

> Interestingly enough, my mom lived in Brussels when she was young and loved it. How is the electronic music scene over there?

well, historically Electronc Body Music comes from Belgium, with bands like Front 242 or Neon Judgement.
Interesting to know, maybe, Al Jorgensen started the Revolting Ccks with two guys from here...And then went all industrial with Ministry afterwards....

>Have you given M83 a listen? They are the most exciting thing I have heard in a while. You can listen to their work at their site.

it is nice, and the website is sooo funny ! Music is good, it's amazing how nice old analog synths do sound now with all the new digital fx... ;-)

>Keep up the fine work.

thank you, i will keep updating my journal with sounds... haev a good week-end !

Call me stubborn if you wish.
Call me bold.
But I believe that only people who appreciate art - get life.
I can't believe it when I meet people who really have no love for music, never read, have never even been to a gallery.
Shit, is it that hard to find? The arts found me, don't they find everyone? Doesn't everyone want to hear...

It's sad, really...but we can't force everyone to be into it. I think *that* would get pretty boring too, if we all had the same love and interest for the arts.

But at the same time I'm pretty sure everyone likes something artistic out there...

Sometimes I like to take apart my ideas and throw the pieces around the room. Then I get up, take a deep breath, and start to piece the ideas back together.

And then, as if you have changed the camera angle, you have a completely different view of your ideas. They are naked in the light and you can absorb them in a way you...

joscelyne:
I don't wanna!

Just kidding. I meant I didn't want to listen to my ideas, but that's what I was kidding about.

I thought about hopping on a plane to Ft. Lauderdale and just calling you when I got there so you and Em could pick me up. But I really don't know how far away it is from Deland, and it'd probably work better if I told you I was doing that instead of waiting till I was actually *there* so I wouldn't have to wait that long at the airport.

Sometimes I think funny.

yep, the car broke down today.

looks like it will be over $1200 to fix.

like we have that.

florida... i feel as if it is taking my soul from me.

and now i am stuck here even longer.

yikes!

I'm only posting this link so that maybe you'll feel better about your expenses... even at my own expense (?). Please read the latest entry.

Love you. And I believe your visions won't be blurry for long.

Juiced on java today. Good thing. All I want to do is march around to "London Calling".

I want to open a record store with a healthy selection of vinyl/cd. In this store I want local artists to hang their works on the walls. And I want to have a little coffee bar where there are free books to read in the corner of the...

Kind of like an indie low-maintenance virgin megastore? wink JK I really think that's a cool idea.

Today I had a triple shot raspberry mocha. Mmm indeed.
joscelyne:
:gives you the drink:

I'm actually ordering some torani flavor syrups again. Raspberry, Orgeat (almond), Peppermint, and Butterscotch. But I might get Butter Rum instead of the Butterscotch because I think this site that has them for cheaper doesn't carry Butterscotch.

Oh my god, I'm salivating at the mochas I'm creating!
