My mother is a born-again Christian, very "hell-fire" and "Jesus" type, "you will accept Christ as your personal savior or you will burn in the lake of fire". I'm sure you know the type.

I'm far more liberal and open-minded, obivously, or I wouldn't be on this site.

But my point is, she had enough of a fit when I converted to Catholism. The fact that I'm bisexual, she never needs to know that.

So I guess that's my answer. If you can have a decent relationship with your dad by not bringing up homosexuals, don't do it. You won't change them 99 times out of 100. The ignorant relative, not homosexuals.

I always have my little laughs that I keep to myself. Like the time last year that my mother drove around myself, my husband and our female friend who was on vacation from Germany. Little did she know that the night before the three of us had some hot, three-way sex.

I would tell you to donate it to the Red Cross, but somehow I have my doubts that it will all if any actually go to the survivors.

What I would do is check with your local catholic parish. Even if you are not catholic. Most of them are having fund raisers and collections to donate to the survivors down there. Our local parish is having a annual auction, which we do every year, but this year they are donating 10% of the earnings to the Katrina Survivors.

Check with your local parish and I am sure they will help you make sure that your donation goes to the Katrina Survivors.

So your studying Architecture? At Uof O? Thats awesome, I've been into architecture since my first drafting class in 7th grade. Still want to do it but i'm getting my BA in Computer Engineering first. If I'm not sick to death of school by the time I finish that I'll go do my graduate studies in Architecture some god damn place else. (I hate this town if you hadn't already picked that up )
