“When I had an income, Paris was cheap.” - Whit Stillman, filmmaker

When we interviewed Whit Stillman for his latest movie, Damsels in Distress, it was his first movie in over 10 years. He told us about the lost decade in which he developed many other films but none of them came together. Fortunately, it only took a few years for Stillman to return, and

Can't say I'm familiar with WS or his work but after reading that compelling interview I may have to look into more of his work.

When I got an early interview with Jason Momoa to talk about his directorial debut last month, I figured it was just because he had such a busy schedule, he had to do the interview a month early. Now I think they knew his Aquaman casting announcement in Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice

I read these books and really liked them (until the last one, I felt it was rushed). But I never even heard about the movie!
abjester:
I found the movie didn't really lend itself to any specific fan base at all... I mean friends who read the books said "meh", I said the same as an addict of vampire and lycan lore, and the ladies I know who live and die for teen drama movies had nothing to add... It just felt like a film of fractured identity, thus I couldn't connect with it at any point fully! No one hated it but no one is raving to their friends about it either.
