Decent weekend let's see Thursday night I went to the garage in Houma, since it was 4/20 in reference to (4:20) they had a celebration, of acoustic bands. And played nothing but Bob Marley and Sublime before the bands showed. It was pretty damn funny, I didn't stay too late. Friday I had training from 8:30-5:00, on doing personal outcomes assesments, which are actually kind of fun, you ask like almost 300 questions in an interview to find out what is working and what is not working for that person as for as the goals he/she needs to acheive. You ask the individual if possible which in most cases is not. My guys for the most part need someone like support staff to go through and answer all of your questions for them. It's sad we are just pulling at straws with some of them because there is no way in hell to know what is going on behind the eyes.
Friday night I went back to the Garage to see two bands that I knew. Feed The Machine and Short Story. They were amazing. Short Story blew my mind with their rendition of the 80's song Take On Me...that made my night. I got some really good pictures and will have to post them soon, as well as pass em on to FTM since their camera guy didn't show. I ended up going with FTM and some friends to an afterparty in Raceland. Where half if not most of Olive Garden's employees were. Then finally carried my happy ass back home 5:00AM ish.
I filled in for coverage last night 4:00PM-10:00PM. We are so short staffed and since I've had training doing the grunt work they call me in all of the time. Afterwards, M.J. came to my place and I proceeded to show him the great town of Labadieville.haha. Patin's had a DJ and there were a lot of people there so that was first on the agenda. Since Labadie is a small town I decided we'd park at the church at the front of my street and walk a block and a half to Patin's...seemed like a good idea. So we are walking by the church and cop car comes sliding in. Guy runs us through all these questions. I just said "we're walking up to Patin's" it was so weird because he thought he knew MJ and then tried to say I was somebody so finally getting tired of the harrasment I say "what's up?" He say's "you tell me" I throw out a flippant wave and we walk a way. Weird man, I felt like I was going to be arrested for walking while white or something. Heard assumption cops are assholes but first actual experience. Worse, walking to Patin's we are over on the shoulder and M.J. goes what's that a guard dog or something and the largest rottweiler I've ever seen lunges at us!!! If that chain had been and inch longer I may have been grazed or much much worse, I don't think I've ever jumped back that far or fast in my freaking life. We went to Patin's probably would've done better just staying at my place and having a few beers but the eye candy was nice. Get back to my place and finally did a lot of good talking, said a lot things that needed to be said for awhile. All and all good weekend. Take care everybody.
