Life has been overwhelming me lately and I'm definitely on my way to burn out. Work is super busy, with the parents becoming more and more of a problem, one of my best employees quitting last week (to go to a more appropriate job) and the subsequent reviewing of resumes and doing interviews and hopefully hiring and training someone, friends and family going through some struggles (and losing pets), losing an important friend of mine, weather being too hot, combatting a recently acquired gambling addiction, and really feeling my singlehood right now. I'm working on fixing it all, but I want everyone to know that I would absolutely be more present here if I could. Perhaps things will lighten up by September? Lol. Who knows?
Outside of that, I have been nominated by some good folks here to do yet another 2 questionnaires. I could have sworn that I did these two before, but I can't find them. Dammit. So... 1. Some things you love about Summer?
Nothing. At all.
Ok, ok. I'll dig deep. I like the longer days, I like the pleasant cooler nights, I like the smell of flowers and plants. The ladies wearing less clothing. Outdoor patios. Food trucks.

2. Some things you hate about Summer?
The heat. The bugs. The jaggoffs up at 3am setting off fireworks. Everyone 'needing' to go camping and leaving businesses short on staff, but campgrounds full of garbage and ruckus. Farming season being so busy.

3. Summer Outdoor Activities.
I don't like outdoor activities in any season. Been there. Done that. I suppose concerts and food festivals are ok.

4. Non-alcoholic beverages for summer?
The same beverage I have any time of year. A Canadian Slurpee from 7-11. Although I can't have them too often since becoming Diabetic.

5. Who thinks tan lines are sexy?
Seriously? This is a question?
Depends. On a model, yes. A farmer's tan, no.

6. Your favourite way to cool off from the summer heat?
Indoors. Air Conditioning. Cold drink. Low lighting. Low activity.

I'm not a model, but I have a few sets coming up that I am totally stoked for. I'll limit it to 7.

8. Members, tell us your favourite things about sets?
I'm going to be brutally honest here. Sets, on their own, don't much matter to me. Sure, I appreciate a great set, a stunning model, a great theme. Who doesn't? But what matters to me is the model. The person. If we chat, if we get along, if they are a good community member, if they have a good heart and a good sense of humour. Then, and only then, does a set matter to me. And trust me, their heart shows in their sets and their intelligence, humour and joy shows in their eyes and smiles. That is the most alluring thing about sets to me.
This is also why I have a hard time liking a one-timer set from a new model, that immediately goes Pink without being part of SG long. Not because she isn't a good model, or because she doesn't have a great set. Rather, because she was never around long enough for us to truly get to know her and include her in the little community of ours. It isn't about her and what she deserves for her work and presence. It's about what she means to us as a person. At least, that's my opinion.

I don't know. Who is?
All I know is I was in love, and now I'm divorced, and everything is chaos, so be kind.

10. What's a perfect summertime date for you?
A day at the zoo, walking, eating, playing and learning. Then a dinner, followed by a movie or concert. Back to a hotel room to earn the heat and sweat all night long.

11. How did you spend your 4th of July weekend?
Canada. Did not celebrate that. But had a great Canada Day weekend, doing as little as possible.

Movies, eating, sleeping, relaxing with my cats.

Nothing crazy, but I recently had to call the police on a domestic dispute occurring outside the bar across the street from my work. It's pretty much par for the course around here.
