Despite the lackluster response to my first 4, I have the urge to share another poem of mine. This was written somewhere around 2003, and it is a message that a younger me got right and an older me lost sight of for a while and paid the price. I hear past me loud and clear now. I hope others find the message they may need out of it.
Make yourself the gift
Watch her ............ Study in that you love
Hear her .............. Attend that which holds your heart
Touch her ............ Awe in her beauty, every time
Hold her .............. Embrace that which heats you
Don’t be a fool, don’t let it fade
Never forget what she means to you
And let her know man, let her know
Talk to her ........... With the respect she deserves from you
Cherish her .......... She is your most prized possession
Comfort her ......... Cultivate your happiness in her
Love her ............... Like it was the first time, every time
Everything about her, you love
Don’t forget that she completes you
And let her know man, let her know
