i think i need to chill out with the piercings for a while... not only am i broke, but i think i'd set off a metal detector if i ever had the need to walk through one..

Yeah, that can be a pain. My grilfriend used to have metla rods in her back, and whenever we went through airport security she would set it off. Unfortunately, she also had piercings, so the TSA chumps would automatically blame it on those. Several dozen swipes of the hand wand later, they would believe her.
