Wow, it's been a while since I've been here.
So, the past year eh, it's brought quite a lot of change. The most major of which is, I'm no longer living in the UK. I've relocated to the West Coast of Canadialand, Vancouver. Yep, now I have constant views of snow covered mountains, the smell of the sea and a new found appreciation for ice hockey. Things haven't been all easy this month, a close friend died in an accident in London, and then I had to go to hospital for emergency surgery to have my appendix out. Nothing like these kind of things to make you miss your friends and family. But, on the upside Vortext is visiting, going to pick him up from the airport in a few hours, and the weather is getting better and better.
I'll post up a bunch of pics of where I'm living soon, promise.
So, last year.......worked my arse off on Hellboy 2 for months, nearly killed me. Afterwards, visited Vancouver, decided that it would be nice to live here, ended up working here for 2 1/2 months from the start of september. Not much of note during the year, until the end, when, on return from Canada, ended up going out with a friend of 11 years, totally fell in love, then I left again. Currently trying to figure out whether or not I should give up on this whole thing after the year, and move back and get married to her, or if I just love it here too much. Maybe I'll ask her if she fancies moving over here? I'm sure I'll sort it out soon. Going to buy a car here as well, soon as I can get a credit rating, should make things even better, bit of transport, being able to get up to the mountains whenever I want.
It's all a bit odd, got a message last night saying that some, undisclosed lovely person, had paid for my account to be reactivated for 3 months. Don't know whether it's just some marketing thing, or if someone forked out for me, which would have been decidedly lovely. Anyway, the point is, I'm back, at least for a few months, I'll see how it goes. Missed you guys, it's really quite nice to be able to just put thoughts down, and know the lovely advice and support I'll generally get.
How the heck have you all been? I'm hoping that most of my old friends are still here and are still vaguely interested in what stupid life choices I've been making
Right, short one for the moment, I'll go into more detail about the loveliness that is living in Vancouver. Look forward to hearing from y'all and seeing what you've been up to,
big love,
Dan
