I had a really awesome day today. Which is a surprise because I have been feeling kind of down recently. I started out in the lab trying to piece together an enlarger in a film changing room because the B&W class was printing in the big room and I needed to print color. Then, after about a half our I got it together and made one test strip. By then it was time to go to my other class.
We were discussing the sexuality of a character in a book the class is reading and a girl in my class made the comment that she thought that if a gay man's (the character was gay) parent's had treated him differently he might have turned out hetero. I asked her if she thought there was anything that her parents might have done differently that could have turned her into a homo. By the time the class was over she had changed he mind. I like it when people are open to new ideas and aren't afraid to admit that their ideas could be flawed. I respect the fact that she was able to inch her way out of her comfort zone and look at things from a different perspective.
So then on my way out of class I ran into a guy who was in my photo 110 class last year. We started talking and I asked him if he wanted to go get a coffee. So we went to Starfucks (yes, I'm stealing this one from Aponia) and we just talked about everything. That is so one of my favorite things to do, exchange ideas with someone.
So then I picked my girl up from work and we came home and made big ass chipotle burritos that burned my mouth. Mmmmm burrito's.
How was your day? Any plans for the weekend? I have an essay to write. Yippeee!
