A while back, when the RIAA (RISS?) was handing out lawsuits like so many demerits from an assistant vice principal (go ahead and give me detention, I'm still dropping out), a close friend of mine sent out notice that a close friend of his was currently being fined $10,000 for alledgedly downloading a handful of MP3s.
The man's name was Tim Davis. Unfortunately, I don't think he had the funds to put up a proper fight, although I never actually heard what became of the case.
At any rate, it wasn't until recently that I thought to google him. I hadn't known it, but apparently he's quite the accomplished photographer.
