A while back, when the RIAA (RISS?) was handing out lawsuits like so many demerits from an assistant vice principal (go ahead and give me detention, I'm still dropping out), a close friend of mine sent out notice that a close friend of his was currently being fined $10,000 for alledgedly downloading a handful of MP3s.

The man's name was Tim Davis. Unfortunately, I don't...

I can't stop grinding my teeth. I think it's getting to be a serious problem. I no longer just grind them at night. Now I grind them during the day. My sister (who makes false teeth) says I've already worn them down dangerously.

This is me, grinding my teeth: mad
hotcurry:
Erm... I didn' know you were back. blush
hotcurry:
Good god, I was drunk when I wrote that. I remember seeing you gray on my list and hoping you would return. Geeze... I'm an ass now.

Ha! Jokes on me, I guess. I'm sure I cancelled my account, but apparently my card has been getting billed for the last six months anyway. So I've been paying for SG membership without reaping the benefits! Sucks to be me. frown
bbellicose:
well,I'd say welcome back, but since you never left, welcome back to awareness then. wink

I'm moving this weekend and I probably won't be hooked up to the internet for a while. It's time to give it a rest. I'm also getting rid of my TV and video game systems. I don't need these kind of distractions in my life right now. My SG account doesn't expire for another couple of months, I think, so I might be around now...

...present conditions are precisely these: the economy cannot stop making us consume more and more, and to consume without respite is to change illusions at an accelerating pace which gradually dissolves the spaces behind the waterfall of gadgets, family cars and paperback books.

The affluent society is a society of voyeurs. To each his own kaleidoscope: a tiny movement of the fingers and the picture...

Nothing will dissuade me of one thing: the sadness I feel after a separation, a failure, a bereavement does not reach me from the outside like an arrow, but wells up from the inside like a spring freed by a landslide.

jena:
(wow to that. did you write it? lovely. i am currently wallowing in Fleetwood Mac's most depressing songs. if it is any challenge to you.)

I see your 3 mothers and the only thing civil and not entirely depressing I can raise you is when my mother was divorcing my stepdad #3- my sister's dad who raised us, and she asked me if I would testify in court - lie for her- that he had tried to molest me so that she could get custody of my sister.

I can't really speak after that. Got a joke?

_alice_:
well maybe if i had some warning i could have planned not to miss it surreal .
i`ll come for the next one, but you have to tell me when it is. i`m working on this whole taking some time off thing.... it`s going pretty slow. also i`ve been sick blackeyed .

I just got word last night that my grandmother passed away. We've been expecting it for a while, but it's still not fully hitting me.

Over the last two weeks, my mother has been taking care of her mother and the rest of my family has been at least marginally involved, whether taking care of her or just going to visit her before she died....

I'm glad to hear it...but CANNOT believe Gramps is still driving! eeek God bless! EL SUICIDO LOCO

Dysfunctional, no way! Wait, "fun" is still in that word, so it's aight. How bad is yours?

Mine is so awesome that nobody has seen or heard from my mother in over a year. We've been able to establish she is in the state of Florida but the ONLY commentary that has been expressed is from Grandma, who is only concerned about how she (my mother) is supposed to know when she (Grandma) dies, and then on my dad's side (divorced 30 years ago; hatred still fresh), my aunt said "Good." And that's been IT. When my sister informed me she was missing she told me with all the passion of maybe like, lifting a toilet seat.

You!? ARRR!!!
