So, Saturday, Sam and I joined my Aunt and her boyfriend up in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Both were amazing. We had to visit the Stanley Hotel (Sam is a HUGE fan of Stephen King, and I love history). All in all it was a fantastic day. I didn't realize how hard it was to breath at the two miles above sea level and higher. I was seriously yawning like every other fucking breath I was taking...

the view of the Mountains pre-storm
I didn't know which one I liked better, color or black and white...so I did both and am posting both.
LOTS of Elk
I must mention that there was a snow storm that came in the day before that dumped up to five feet of snow in some places...on the first day of summer. This was Saturday, when the next round of snow was coming in.
More Elk, and some eating.
BABY!!!! Really though, this one had NO fear of humans. I was on the sidewalk and he was really no more than 10 feet away from me at the most. It was crazy.
These two Elk were anywhere from 10 to 30 feet from me at any given time, as they walked along and ate grass.
But there you have it, the best of the best images from my time up in the mountains this past weekend.
Fast.
