Before I post the now finished film photos that I took Sunday morning off of Broadway in Denver, CO...I wanted to take a special moment to share this photo that I was able to take. This gentleman's name is Brent. He was sitting alongside the buildings and saw the small group of people that I was photographing, and as we passed, called out to me and asked if I would like to take his photo as well. That had me stop in my tracks and look at him, without any second thought, I said "Yes, of course" and was able to capture this one shot of him. While it was a by chance meeting on that Sunday morning, I know that, as he personally expressed it, a thankfulness for me taking time to at least acknowledge his presence. I cannot help but think how many times we over look people who sit on the side of the street, and who are down on their luck, often times having people just walk past them without giving them even a glance. Brent helped remind me that regardless if we have the means to help out someone else out financially or not, we can give someone, anyone, the world by just taking a few moments out of our so called "busy lives" to just say hi to someone else, to acknowledge them, to let those who might not be as fortunate as us the time of day. That is one thing that Humanity is missing today, the sense of everyone belongs, regardless. I will never forget Brent and the few minutes that I spent talking with him.
