So yesterday, I was able to make a two hour drive to Southeastern Kansas, to the cities of Humboldt, Chanute, Erie and Saint Paul, and photograph some of the flooding that has taken place down there over the past two weeks. Here are a few of the images that I have been able to gather.
This is actually my Uncle Eddie who decided to take me around for a bit yesterday.
Kansas Corn Field
Farm East of Humboldt, KS
Country road just beside Baseball legend Walter Johnson's homestead.
The Baseball diamond where Mickey Mantel played his first professional baseball game.
Another corn field, just outside of Saint Paul, Kansas.
Corn and corn stocks littering the roadway next to the old High School in Erie, Kansas.
Frisbee Golf course in Erie, Kansas.
It has been crazy. There was also a tornado that hit up here yesterday, devastated parts of my home town, and the countryside between that and the city where I work, Eudora, KS.
