I agree, most "mosh pits" these days are for show. On the other hand, last weekend at the Bronx show there was hardcore, authentic moshing going on. The singer was right in the middle of it, and everyone I saw thrashing around seemed to know every word of every song, all the beat changes, etc. These were hardcore fans. It warmed my heart.
