Yay birthday
got stuck in crappy traffic jam leaving london. Its the sort of thing that I generally try to avoid ( i will usually wait until night). But hey I spent 3.5 hours in traffic on my Birthday. I don't actually mind sitting in traffic because I hardly ever have to do it. The only issue is that it is an old car so I have to have the heating on to keep the engine cool. grr. My ipod is not working and the radio had begun to piss me off. One of the things I love about bigger cities is that there is more crap radio to choose from.
so I am having a shit time in the traffic, The traffic reports are long and depressing - it seems like every route out of london is blocked and each route that I had planned to take has an accident etc...so there i am criticising myself for not leaving earlier and not avoiding the traffic and for this and for that.... and generally giving myself a shit time.
Although I haven't yet taught myself to remember to be more leniant on myself, I do usually remember to think about what I have to learn from the experience. Eventually I realise that I seem to literally see problems as huge things., which is not useful.
Pretty soon I am out of London and cruising through beautiful English countryside and I have chatted to many friend and all is well.
Part of why I love to drive is because it means that I spend time catching up with my friends by telephone.
Then champagne with brother, and lots of fun phone calls along the way. He cooks the best thai food I have ever had. he rocks. and then chat and more chat and more chat.
my attempts to hypnotically remove my sister in laws headache were fun but fruitless. Another thing to practise and perfect,
Today Full moon party. Many friends coming to play. Life is sweet.

I love organic chocolate cake. Or even really bad-for-you chocolate cake. Oh heck ... just pass me some chocolate cake already!
