Ahhh, it was 65 and sunny today so it was perfect weather to go to one of the nature centers. Im covered in mud, feet are soaked, legs are bleeding...Im in heaven. I saw a dozen or so green frogs, a blue heron, a couple of loons, plenty of ducks and geese, one HUGE snapping turtle and well over 100 painted turtles...no snakes or salamanders though. If tomorrow is nice I'll hit up Rose Lake, that place is a biologist's goldmine. Hopefully I can get into the bog a little and find some pitcher plants.
tayler:
wow that sounds awesome, did you go to Rose Lake in the end?

Unfortunately no, it was only 52 degrees and raining. Im hoping this weekend I can take a break from studying for my exams and go out there if it is nice enough. I usually find pitcher plants in the bog and almost always come across some snakes. Plus I can collect some aquatic plants for my tanks here at home!
