Played my second gig with Robyn last thursday in the Limelight here in rainy cold Belfast. Despite a three hour power cut the gig finally went ahead and went really well. Robyn is truly a unique talent, and a wild and crazy hallion at that. I haven't had this much fun playing music for a long time.

I went to see the Chemical Brothers on Saturday and had my twisted little mind blown to bits by the sublime sounds, lights and visuals. And i danced like a spide all night. (a spide is a chav btw, for you mainland losers)

Last night i saw a band called Two Gallants, from San Fransisco. They're on yer man Conor Oberst's label Saddle Creek. I'd never heard of them and had no preconceptions, but fuck me they were great. They refused to use Katy Daly's awkwardly positioned stage, and set up and played slap bang in the middle of the bar amongst the intrigued punters. Merely a drums/acoustic guitar duo, they played a fine set of bluesy/country tunes, and the singer has a fucking amazing voice. I'd recommend anyone to check them out.

Aye, so another fine weekend...must keep an eye on the old substance abuse however.

Oh, and RIP George Best, Legend.
