@countessa went into MR yesterday with Hypothermia, a set we shot in a national park near Canberra.
It wasn't yet winter, but after shooting a set for @pebblezink up an old gum tree, the sun disappeared, the wind came out, and it was freezing. I was wearing a big coat, and Pebblez and @twiggy were bundled up as well, while Countessa braved the hostile weather. When I looked up weather records later (no internet where we were shooting), it was about 1-2°C with probably -5°C wind chill. Countessa really does suffer for her art.
So many of you have already left amazing comments on the set, long and eloquent and appreciative. Thank you so much for your support. Countessa and I love doing what we do, and I hope this can be the one that makes front page.
Anyway, here are some of my favourite pics:
In other news, we have two absolutely huge shootfests coming up in Sydney and Brisbane.
If you want to book spots, get in quick. There are only a few spots left for Sydney (I am booked out, but @puffin and @taylor and @victory and @trickett may have a spot or two left.
There's still time to get bookings in Brisbane too. @victory and @coolicio both still have spots! @trickett might have some too.
The shootfests are going to be huge. The Sydney one has 35 models or so coming. I remember when I joined the site and there were maybe 5 Australian hopefuls. Now there is well over 50. Possibly as many as 100! Can you believe it? I am having trouble keeping track of everyone's names.
Speaking of which, if you want to keep track of all the shoots and exciting happenings of the Aussie SGs and hopefuls, follow the Instagram page run by myself, @bronx_ and @christina:
Apart from that, I have just been architecting a lot, and learning new software (I am a dinosaur and still draft in 2D). It's kind of exhilarating watching your designs come to life in 3D though, and it means I'm less distracted while I'm working. Which is a good thing!!!
Okay that is a really really ugly house, but it's just a drawing of an existing 1980s house. It's not one I designed haha. It really gives you much more sense of what the house is like than a 2-dimensional drawing though, doesn't it!
Anyway, I'd better go and do some work...
