I'm not gonna say anything about the election... not gonna say anything about the state of our country... not gonna say now's a good time to travel abroad for, oh, four years.... not gonna say w'e're all fucked... not gonna... aw fuck it, I give up. I try to take solace in the fact that I live in a liberal town like SF, but I'm depressed that evangelical Christians essentially control the fate of the nation in which I will grow old. I try to wake up every morning and jovially yell "four more years, woohoo!" in a vain attempt to convince myself that I'm psyched for this. So far, it's not relly working, and my roomates have stopped associating with me...
On a brighter note, I saw one of my favorite bands ever last night... They didn't stop playing for 50 minutes straight,... even between songs they turned on their synths to make weird noise effects while they quickly switched instruments or picked up stuff they had kicked over or thrown in their orgy of death-wave noise (hey, I came up with a new genre of music!) .
And tonight I'll be seeing Les Sans Culotes, tomorrow I'll likely see Moving Units, Sunday I might see The Spits, Tuesday I'll see The Faint, and Wednesday I'll see a doctor to get me fitted for a hearing aid!
