This weekend finds yet another one of my best friends getting married. First, my best friend Dave got married last year, and now my friend Georgia will tie the knot. This makes me feel
1.)that I'm not really getting anywhere in my own life relationship-wise (I haven't met anyone who even comes close to being that "special someone", and since I'm single now, who knows how long it will be until I do...) and
2.old (as I now have several good friends who are married, and a few who are starting families.) But I'm happy for my friends (especially Georgia) since their spouses ar really cool. But still... I'm older than almost all my married friends and have never felt the type of bond between myself and any girl I've dated that my friends feel with their partners. Meh. Oh well, I just had to get that bit off my chest.
The wedding should be fun, as it last until 11 PM and is going to feature 80s, indie, and synthpop music to dance to (and I'm in charge of the music, so I'll make damn sure we all like it).
I'm also going to Curiosa in Sacramento on Sunday, and The Lovemakers here in SF tomorrow night. It should be an interesting weekend, to say the least.
