I AM OUT OF CHICO FOR GOOD!
Yeah.. it feels nice to say that. I moved everything out of my apartment this past weekend (in 100 degree heat, right after I came down with a nasty head cold...), in order to do a walkthrough in my "cleaned" apartment with my landlord. (first thing she did upon walking in was look at a huge multicolored mess of paint splatters where my art table was and say "that's gonna cost $200"). It's weird to see my every posession boxed up, but even weirder to begin thinking of half of them as superfluous and in serious need of being downsized.
