This just made my day: so my friend just called me about moving to San Francisco, something that we have been discussing up until now with cautious enthusiasm. Her sister has found a house in the Sunset district that costs a mere $520 a month per room... $5 less than I'm paying right now! So it may be foggy all year, and it may be kinda far from some of the more fun neighborhoods (Mission, Haight, etc) but I'm seriously considering it. Besides, it would be a welcome change of pace from the sweltering 105 degree heat I deal with here in Chico during the summer, and a 15 minute drive to another neighborhood sure beats a 3-hour drive through 5 counties just to get to the city.
