did you ever read magic mountain (sauber berg)?
guy goes to this sanatorium place in the mountains
for a few days, cause he has a cold he cant seem to shake
but he ends up staying 7 years.
7 fucking years.
im at this college, doing this job
which some respect
and others less so
but it is in essence for me a retreat
from
my true life, my artist's life
i earn
its pretty and quiet here
but mostly it is simply tons of work
which is wonderfully distracting
i hardly have time to think
and not thinking is all i want
doing doing - lists of things to do
my lists have lists
and i train
hard and regularly
and sleep
as long as i possibly can
see?
its like a magic mountain
healthy
remote
absorbing
and utterly irrelevant
