OK - to CLARIFY - I am not looking for help, im not a newbie. I was looking for an easy way to offer help TO OTHERS - but i see that there is a pretty huge gray area that's hard for people to grasp here, so nevermind

And there are so many members and girls that you really just can't introduce yourself, because really, no one will care. Just write some interesting blogs, comment on peoples journals, friend request people you think are neat, post relevant and thought provoking replies on the boards, join regional groups, go to events, etc. It looks like youre already doing some of these things so just keep it and you won't really have to introduce yourself.
