I was watching the news last night and they had a report on dodgy vets who rip people off and are cruel to animals and so forth, and who do I see on it??? My bloody vet!!! I was stunned!
Apparently someone took their cat in to get it's teeth cleaned and it came back with all it's teeth pulled out and they had tried to desex her only to find that she'd already been desexed, and another cat had surgery and they didn't bother to give it enough oxygen so it got brain damage!!!
So i'll be going to another vet I think...

Anyway, just a quick update on barefoot day, it seems to be catching on, I received this email from a class mate:
I'd like to personally commend Jon in being the sole founder
of such a wonderful holiday (pun intended). The man has
vision. Hearing his tails of adventure and personal growth
have filled me with overwhelming inspiration to go barefoot.
Yet, at the same time I am troubled, for I wore shoes on
Monday. I completely disregarded the protocol that was set
out, the protocol that Jon so dutifully adhered to. And the
weren't just any shoes either, they were big clunky boots -
Colorado jobs.
Why have we not discovered this marvelous tradition sooner?
Why is it, that only at the end of our third and final year
together has this phenomenon been fully recognized? I for
one eagerly await the next installment: Jon's efforts have
inspired me to go out and get a pair of thongs.
The conviction in Jon's eyes was awe inspiring - his genuine
fulfillment was evident. The textures of the terrain, not
just of surface itself, but of the Earth as a whole seemed
to speak to him, elevating him to new levels of never-before
experienced contentment. I can bare personal witness to the
wonders that took place at Z block: a steel door, a bare
foot, and a hell of a lot of positive energy all combined to
create one of the most majestic moments I've ever
encountered. The door swung open... effortlessly,
beautifully.
And in one last testament to the historic event, the very
next day I saw Dr Jon Harris himself embrace the spirit and
the festivities of the previous Monday, and walk barefoot
throughout Q block. The word is spreading.
Jonathan, I salute you...
