I'm a fixture.
Semi-permanent. translucent... a constant in my day,
I'm me. All day, I'm there. I'm always around.
When I answer the phone, I'm there, on the receiver.
When I change my clothes, I'm right there, exposed.
When I drink some beers, I'm at the bottom of the bottle.

You acted like it was an accident. I acted like I didn't know better.

My wallet is full of history. At least two things you gave me still live there. That's two more things than I ever kept for myself.

I'm really close to the edge. So are you. As close as we can possibly be, but its still nowhere close enough. I stop, shake my head and laugh. We smile awkwardly and walk away.

I want to learn more about this life, but days like this make me think I don't have nearly enough time. Not at this speed.

Its nice to be away, but its even nicer being convinced that you have to come back.
