well it's been a pretty uneventful few weeks (or so).... finished up my summer concert season (for the most part)
after getting into a panic by finding out i had four tickets to the Slayer concert had to make mad phone calls to find people to fill those seats. fortunately my friends managed to come through and Slayer, well, slayed! that few thousand people singing along to "Angel of Death" will stick with me for quite awhile.
up next was local favs The Birthday Massacre and my buddies in LYE. this looked to be a great show with both bands filming their perfomances for a DVD release. i was little let down by LYE unfortunately, as my buddy Damien said they seemed more involved with performing for the cameras then the crowd like they usually do. fortunately TBM didn't have the same problem. fantastic perfomance by them. my only complaint was the stupid video cameras getting in the way of my photos (which will be up at my Photobucket page once i finish removing the red eye from them). i think i saw you, Malice (with a guy in a KMFDM shirt?) but like i said before, going up to pretty girls and just starting to talk to them just isn't in my nature
i then recieved a invitation to hang out this past week from the girl thats been being stupid. this was odd cause i hadn't talked to her in a couple weeks. anyways i told her sure any day was good except for tuesday (due to Sounds of the Underground). eventually made plans for thursday
SOTU was pretty good. got my camera rejected at the door, so no photos we caught half of GWAR's set. if you've seen GWAR you know what to expect. needless to say they were great. i then ran around and picked up merch cause i had absolutly no desire to see Trivium - this is the "Future of Metal"? then somebody better stab my eardurms out with dull #2 pencils. In Flames was next and i can't believe i've kept myself from going to see them before *smacks self* Stupid Joe! anyways, go see them! nuff said! As I Lay Dying finished off the night and unfortunately i think they had the wrong band headlining. not that AILD played bad, but so many people left after In Flames. boy was my neck sore afterwards.
so after the show i managed somehow to go to work that night. well enough, except my car wouldn't start again when i went to go out for lunch (turns out the fuel pump is gone... greeeeeat). so this could hinder my plans for thursday. i decided to bite the bullet and i went and rented a car for a couple days (2007 Dodge Caliber - nice looking and pretty comfortable car, but with a 2L engine lacks balls).
anyways, guess who got ditched? last time i try to do something to make plans work with her
stuff's starting to come along with the band finally. hopefully we have a drummer that's going to stick around now - feel free to check it out at www.myspace.com/hiigarrah we're still updating the page but you can get an idea of what's in store
that's all for now
-end
