Life, what the fuck is that about??
Winter has come and gone, and will probably come back sometime soon. I'll have to take some pictures of the 14ners above my house, they get completely covered in snow and are soooo gorgeous. My new man and I are talking about starting a business together, we've been making clothing out of elk and deer hides, next we are going to start brain tanning hides that he's hunted and make more clothes and possibly bags and moccasins. We're thinking about starting a website to sell these handmade natural buckskins, as well as handmade dijeridoos, drums, jewelry, and other indigenous hand-made crafts. The only problem? How to come up with the seed money. I'm thinking of selling my trumpet and flugelhorn.
Also, I'm going to buy a compound bow and begin learning how to use it so that I can learn how to hunt someday. I feel really called to this, and I've found a nice women's bow for a decent price on eBay (See bottom link).
Other than the entrepreneurial enterprise, I've been sewing Roman shades to insulate the house this winter (we've already had quite a few nights below zero) and working a lot at the cafe. Indian nights are going well, but the next two sweat lodges fall on Sunday nights, which means I'll be at the cafe and not at lodge, which makes me very sad.
My parents are coming up here right before Christmas, which is nice since I can really use some of the stuff at their house and I can't seem to leave the mountain...
Hopefully I'll be in Denver at the beginning of Jan for a few days, I really need to reclaim some shit left in Golden (sorry boys, I'll get that stuff someday, I swear).
Well, that's my life right now. I'm happy most days, which is more than most people can say.
