Life's good here, it's so beautiful I could cry. I'm very blessed to be involved in Ceremony and to be finding my path of service in this community. I'm also making real connections with people, which feels great. Today I'm working on stensils that will go on the walls of the house and get Italian plaster over them, leaving the most beautiful, subtle patterns in the wall. There is already a Tibetan knot of eternity, an eye of horace, and many dragonflies.
The baking business is going really well, I have tentatively set up two regular wholesale accounts at local food marts, and the Indian night on Sundays is gaining popularity quickly. I finally feel like I'm integrating and money is starting to flow, thank god. I'll be up in Denver on Sunday and possibly Saturday, before I fly back to Illinois for three days to see my grandmother, who is dying of Lou Gerhig's disease. I will be back in Crestone by Thanksgiving, though, which I"m very much looking forward to. I also have some custom baking orders to fill that day, so yay money.
Here are a few pictures of my new home (and my new haircut, care of John and a skinning knife).
