Since I was a kid my mum has made a meal we call the ‘chicken soup meal’ - it looks kinda like this. After a while she started making it with southern fried chicken and bacon and OMG 🤣 delicious.

One birthday that’s gone down in family history was when I chose it for my birthday meal. My brother had been working hard all day just dreaming of the food he would enjoy at my party - will it be burgers or pizza or Chinese food? - when he got home and it was the chicken soup meal his disappointment bordered on anger 🤣 he was like ‘who the fuck would have the chicken soup meal for their birthday?’

I have never lived it down but I just love that meal ❤️
