wednesday was an amazing night, as it tends to be these days. lots of sgct members, lots of drinks and lots of silliness. i'm still finding bottle caps all over my living room. grumpybear, alienprincess, and welntaod that means you. i think one day that will become an olympic sport. however, the timeline has got to change. i love drinking and partying all night as much, or most likely more, than the next guy, but this during the week shit has really killed my work ethic. not that i really had one to begin with. so next week i really need to kick people out about 12 or 1, as much as it will pain me to do so. but we'll have fun anyway.
in other news, i pulled apart my fender mustang because i was thinking about doing some work on it- mabe refinishing and changing some hardware. i thought it was a late, cheap piece of crap, despite loving it. when i got the neck off, i realized it's a 1966, and worth a hell of a lot more than the $100 and lousy guitar i traded it for. so i think i'll just get a good set up done and try and clean the stock parts. and no body work. i was planning on bumming work on it off a few friends, but i think now i may take it to a guy my friend recomended who is a fender authorized tech and can get it back to spec for me. and my internet research also suggested that since it's a short scale guitar, it works great with heavy strings. i love heavy strings- just couldn't use them due to the awful buzz. but i think that can be taken care of easily. i gotta get playing again. i really miss it.

if you got the hardware for the lamp, i'll bring the bottle and drill bits to make it happen.... and at some point the shade.... and if you are interested in making a minikeg lamp, you might want to save the Spaten keg.
