Shades of grey. Tonight I was staring at my newly hung dark grey curtains against my lighter grey bedroom wall and pondering about why I love this color so much. To some it is so dreary, to me it is peaceful. It is neutral. It is not boring, it leaves a lot of room to add in bright fun colors with it, sunshine yellow, bright teal, a bold fuschia or even a happy tangerine!
Grey is symbolic. Shades of grey, grey area, grey matter, it now even represents a whole new sexual way of thinking for this generation with 50 shades. I , myself, find a grey haired man sexy. They earned their silver foxiness.
A dotted grey line represents something not permanent, non-commital if you will. Grey is muted, soft and gemtle. Grey words on a page are different than black bold screaming type script.
Grey does not define me but it does please me. A lot of my clothes are grey. Just like black, it is a color I need in my life. It even has a cameo in some of my favorite song lyrics in a Counting Crows song.
Grey is a statement. It is happy. Grey is life.
