I'm glad that I finally watched American History X tonight. Yeah, it's been on my list for a long time.
In other news, my Psychology term paper came out better than expected. I offered a sacrifice to the math gods so that I would pass and hopefully get a C, but we'll see. *waits in anticipation of next week
Aaargh spiders! I got bitten by a spider (I think) in May.. and the bite turned into a blister the size of a quarter, and then into a crater the size of a quarter that I could stick my finger into. It took almost three months to finally heal and was really, really disgusting the whole time. I now have a dark purple scarred quarter-sized dent in my right calf. The skin still peels off it for no reason sometimes. Eew.
I think I was born strong-willed. That's not the kind of thing you can learn. The advantage is, you stick to what you believe in and rarely get pushed out of what you want to do.
I think that I was 12 when I first laid eyes on Siouxsie Sioux of Siouxsie and the Banshees. (She has her very first solo album coming out early next month.
That moment is perhaps not unlike the moment a pubescent boy first gazed into... Read More
sometimes i wonder if we can ever truly escape ourselves. most days i usually think it's impossible. a part of me really likes that idea, and a part of me really loathes it. i just wish i could pick one and go with it, because it's mentally tiring otherwise.
as trite and myspacey as this sounds, thanks for the friend request.
I still feel horrid with the illness, but today, in less than 2 hours, I reprise my role as a college student. A 33-year-old college student. It feels like 13th grade or something.
Two classes, Math and Psychology. I am embarrassed, me, actually, embarrassed to say what Math class I am taking.
Can you guess?
Right now, I am working on my weaknesses and... Read More
Almost 3 years ago I started bartending one night a week. I had no real experience in the service industry at all, I just kind of picked it up as I went along. Then once I developed a good rapport with the customers, the rest just kind of fell into place until I was working full time. Then after I had my son about a year ago, I just kinda eased back into working picking up shifts here and there. Hopefully I'll be full time again soon. I miss the money.
I definitely recommend a small neighborhood joint over the nightclub scene. You can make SO MUCH more money when you can spend time talking (and sometimes flirting) with your customers. Even if it's not really high volume, it can still be so much more profitable.
Stress, stress, and stress will do that to you. It's only after we've lost everything that we are free to do anything??? I also cannot turn my head to the right, from being so tightly wound up and also from sleeping incorrectly. UGH.
Random oh yeah...apparently, the last time I worked on the show Californication, it happened to be on... Read More
I've been so terribly shitty about contact due to being incredibly UBER antisocial lately. There are things that I've wanted to do, but I haven't been able to reach out for a little while now. It doesn't seem like things are getting any easier, for the moment.
Between intense financial stress and some other things that I'd rather not discuss, I've been even MORE withdrawn.... Read More
I've been with WaMu for four years and have nothing but good experiences, other than the time I moved and filed my change of address with their then-brand-new online change-of-address form that didn't work (but the last time I used it a few months ago, it worked just fine).
I owe you a beauty product afternoon. If you'd like to go to the MAC store this weekend, just say the word. I'll buy (within reason, of course).
