Well, it's been a while since I've been on here. The reason being that 1) I got a new job and 2) I've been busy moving house. Now I'm living down in Richmond, an area whose name must always be prefaced by the word "leafy."
It's odd, I deliberately picked Richmond because it was as close to work as I could get while still remaining on the Underground. It's a psychological thing, I need to believe I'm still in London. Though to be honest, it's taking a while to adjust to the fact that I'm not *really* in London anymore, and that if I want to go on a big shop I go to Kingston, not the centre of town.
Anyway, the new job, you say? I am writing about tech and gadgets and other shiny trinkets. It is most enjoyable, though starting my new occupation on the week that Apple released a new iPhone and Steve Jobs died was perhaps not the best move. Now I'm finally cycling into work instead of commuting, which means an extra hour in bed (woo!) and exercise (woo! Though I am rather undoing all the good of the exercise by eating custard creams).
On the downside, there's no phone reception in the building, which makes it next to near impossible to get onto SG during the daytime. Or Facebook, for that matter. And when I get home, the last thing I feel like doing is sitting in front of the computer.
So, how is everyone?
