Well, my car is half fixed. It turns out that my car didn't need a tune up, just a bunch of little things. First torque converter clutch was bad and preventing the overdrive from disengaging when the car was stopped and killing the engine. My Fuel filter was clogged and the stabilizer bar control link was completely broken and if it wasn't fixed soon it would have severed the break line. They've ordered the parts to fix the exhaust system so I'll be taking it back in next week for that. All in all it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
My brother and I went to the hardware store next to where I work yesterday and I ran across something that made me giggle like a school girl. It turns out that they have airbrush kits, presumably for auto and other detail painting. They are bottom fed, internal mix dual action airbrushes, exactly what I need and a six airbrush kit costs $150. Obviously these are not brand name airbrushes but they are cheap, cheap enough to get a kit and give them a try. If these work out it will easily save me a several hundred dollars. $300 for 12 airbrushes as opposed to $800 for 12 off of the cheapest website I've been able to find. These kits include everything, hoses, bottles, airbrush stands, etc so if you include everything, I'll end up saving even more. This is, of course if these airbrushes are worth anything. They are on sale this week for $130 and I can squeeze that out. I get paid next week so I can time taking my car in and picking it up when I get paid. I was also able to pick up a spray gun yesterday on sale for $15 so when I get my guitar body I can paint and clear coat it. Oh happy day! And speaking of guitar, the fingertips on my left hand hurt when I type, is that good or bad? LOL I hope things will get better with practice 'cause right now I pretty much suck. I used to be better years ago but oh well; it's my own fault for stopping playing the guitar in the first place.
