death row is still the label that pays me...
i just started taking piano lessons and i suck. given time i'm sure i'll be okay (i better, i get graded on this shit). if i can memorize all the various permutations of the holy roman empire, surely i can learn the piano. practice practice and a new synthisizer are the cure!
holy fuck! i love the second disc of air's deck safari vol. 2. "gz and hustlas" by snoop, "cannabis" by gainsbourg, "ben" by michael jackson (heh heh), and many many more by the likes of the beatles, dick hyman (HA!), prince, and even kool & the gang.
in general it sounds nothing like music that would inspire moon safari, instead a kick ass party hosted by snooty french musicians. the first disc kicks it too.
on a more personal note i'm still keeping to myself at the college. i just can't relate to most of these people. perhaps i should be more proactive? i mean paxil alone can't fix social anxiety, right? (damn you glaxosmithkline!)
in da mix:
air deck safari vol. 2 (see my older journal entry on it)
the fiery furnaces the fiery furnaces ep (i bought this on saturday at no future records in gainesville. it rocks)
arcade fire funeral (also purchased on saturday. i've been playing it at work for quite some time now, but i finally felt the 13.98 price tag was worth it.)
tortoise tnt (i highly embarrassed myself at their show in new orleans last may. i was totally shitfaced and heckled them once inbetween songs. great show. i think.)
manitoba up in flames (i'm getting myself ready for the new caribou album!)
