went out to dinner last night with my boyfriend for valentine's day... it was a nice steak house, but damn after dinner and the tip for 2 people it was $115. I don't think I've ever had a meal that expensive. It was pretty good though. I had a filet mignon steak with some kind of sauce and button mushrooms and shallots, and it came with mashed potatoes and broccoli, we also ordered stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and they had fresh rye bread with whipped butter they brought out all warm still. My boyfriend had a couple hurricaines and i had a ameretto sour... yummy drinks! we were there about an hour and a half. they had a huge fire place in the room we were in. It was like an old english type building, and their theme was horse racing. so it was pretty cool. we were joking on the way back about the price... like you don't pay that much for the food, you pay that much to feel really cool when you leave... lol! there's still a few other nice places like that he's wanting to take me to eventually. i thought $100 was a lot, he's talking about another place that will be closer to $200 or so. he's crazy... lol... but i still love him. And he's still good at saving money every month. so i can't really say much. mine is all gone as soon as i get it. he got a raise a little while ago, but it hasn't gone through all the paperwork yet, and didn't show up on his pay this month. so hopefully it should by next month. he should get like $800 more a month than he has been getting. then he can really save a lot, and still have a lot to blow every month. he's saving for a house for us... and i'm trying to just save for a car for myself ... but hey once i can get through college and be making as much as he does, i'll be a lot happier that i can pay more of the bills than i do now. we talk about after we get the house getting new furniture, and decorating it all cool, and probably sound proof the basement for the guitars and maybe get a pool table down there and a wet bar or something. also been talking about getting a projector to watch movies on... that'd be awesome. when i first started dating him, i felt a little odd because my family had always just barely been middle class, and his is more upper middle class... and used to nice things. every time we go out to eat with his family or to a nice place we always spend at least $50-$100. His mom usually picks up the check if she invites us out, he offers but she always refuses. So we need to invite her out some time soon. i still would like to take every one out, but a car is a higher priority right now so i can get into school as soon as possible... blah, i'm just rambling on about things. i always do that. well, other than that things are all good. i'm taking the new kitty Ozzy to the vet Thursday morning for an exam, a rabies shot, and to be declawed. i know it's kind of mean, but i'd rather get him declawed, than have him back in a shelter. i just worry because he scratches my daughter, and she doesn't really understand how to act around him yet. and the last couple nights he's started attacking our feet in bed, just out of nowhere... so last night we had to put him out of the bedroom a couple times and he whines at the door. i feel bad about it, but i really do think he's a sweet kitty. he loves attention and affection, he almost always wants you to pet him... forever... lol! so anyways... i'm gonna get going, and get to other things i need to do...
