I got a wedding invitation in the mail yesterday.
Well, I didn't get the invitation; someone who lived here over two years ago got it. It looks like the girl's sister is getting married, or at least I'd assume from the names. In a mostly student housing area no one ever forwards their address, but you think you'd let your family know that you don't live in a place anymore. I get plenty of this chick's catalogues and alumni postcards (sadly, nothing remotely interesting), but this is the first time I've gotten a personal letter.
Anyway, I finally bothered to see if she was on facebook. The name is unusual enough it wasn't difficult to find her, but it also didn't hurt that we have 2 mutual friends. I was disappointed to find out she appears just as dull on facebook as her mail made her seem. Maybe I'll just keep the invitation and hope that she misses her sister's wedding, gets disowned by her family, and is forced to be someone worthwhile.
