There was a time when I could do a painting or sketch every day. And my favorite thing to do was get a blank piece of canvas, draw one line on it, then take a step back and watch that line turn into a painting.
But now it has been years since I have done anything artistic. Once I enlisted in the Army I put my painting aside and dove into a new world. I love my job but I have this yearning to paint again. And no I'm not some prodigy or something like that. Painting is just something I enjoy doing and I where I can have a chance to put what my mind (as strange as it is) onto something that others can see.
So what I am getting at is there anyone out there that has an idea that I can apply. Or has been where I am. I know I should get a sketch book and start doodling as a start.... I miss that feeling of being consumed by your art, the smell of the oil, charcoal, pastels or what ever is your medium. Not only using brushes or pallet knives but you dive in with fingers or any object you can get your hands on. I miss sculpting too.
