I've been watching a lot of movies lately.
We saw Cloverfield today. It was slightly better than I expected given my dislike for JJ Abrams. Though, it was very JJ Abrams-y in my opinion. It was exhausting to watch, which, I guess would be a good thing.
finally also got to see Sunshine (rental). Also incredibly exhausting. The first hour is visual and psychological and superb. Then.. blah.
I also saw There Will be Blood last week. I would really really recommend everyone to go see it. It seems like it's probably one of the best movies ever made. It was sprawling and epic in the way PT Anderson does so well but it was also very cynical and Kubrik-y in a lot of ways.
And I'm definately growing an awesome 19th century moustache ASAP.
In other news: it's still cold and I'm sick of winter. On the upside, 26 degrees feels amazing
I've become fond of randoming the entirety of my computer music collection just to see what pops up. Right now Texas Terri popped on. I mean, when the hell did I ever listen to Texas Terri? Why did I ever stop? Outstanding! I think it's inspired me to but one of these mp3 players I've been hearing so much about. I refuse to buy an iPod but there must be a decent iOff-Brand mp3 player out there.
For your viewing pleasure, here is the random playlist that done went down while I typed this entry... We might even have the same wonderful taste in music!
