this entry is for all the Jimmys out there
free love
dont bank on it baby
dont bank on it
dont bank on it
dont bank on it baby
free love
so the next time someone offers you free love
you know you better
run
run for shelter
run for help
run for the nearest downtown lounge in the afternoon
run for the cynical arms of a stranger
run for the open arms of an unknown tomorrow
because love
love is expensive
this is the story of Jimmy
jimmy was a big dumpy, uneducated texas guy.
jimmy wasnt too smart. but jimmy was genuine, he was honest, and he was just nice.
jimmy didnt have much goin for him, he was the black sheep of the family. his grand daughter wouldnt even talk to him, mostly because of the way he looked, i heard.
jimmy also had diabetes. and at some point jimmy decided he wanted to die.
so jimmy let the infection travel into his heart.
and jimmy died in the chair im sitting in
i dont think a single person misses jimmy

thunderstorms finally. this will most likely be one of anly a few this season
i sat in the rain today. feels good. clensing and all that
i remember my first time seeing lightning close up.
i was in boy scouts and a thunder storm rolled in with no warning and we had to pack all the camping gear up quickly.
i was running on the road that had been cut through the trees and a lightning bolt took down a tree maybe 30 yards to my right. i felt it hit. it was like a bomb went off. the ground shook and i dont know if i jumped cause i was starled or if the ground actually lifted me off my feet for a few seconds.
i never stopped running my load to the car, but i was scared, and excited, and soaked.
i guess thats why i like them. its natures little reminder
hey fuckwad, youre a spec. a flash in the pan. so dont take any of this for granted
maybe
maybe not
so my roommate/drummer (i think) moved out. i came home to a dear john letter saying he was on vacation for a little while, but he wasnt sure how long. so i check, and find that pretty much everything he owns is cleaned out of the house.
this puts me in a bit of a situation since rent is due in a few days and i dont have enough money for rent, and bills, and car inspection, and ticket paying.
i dont understand. he sat around wishing he could find a job and a girl and blah blah blah. and ho ho! big surprise he never found them
i dont wish
i dont wish for anything.
i dont have time to sit and think about the things i wont ever have.
storm chaser would be a good job.
whats your dream job?

aaardvark:
Hmmmm, my dream job. To be entirely honest, a wife, maybe a mom. And a dog owner. Which I already am, and wouldn't give up for anything. A little too revealing, perhaps? Maybe leaving me wondering if I shouldn't hit the submit button? Ah, what the fuck, its good to know people.
meta:
it's all meta, as far as I know. but I probably subconsciously jacked it from something.
