Of late ive been spending a lot of my free time focusing on music making. Ive also taken up surfing again, which I havent done since my teens. The sun has been a bit brutal to my pale skin. I suck at it but Im having soo much fun.

i did communications at uts, and some postgrad stuff there where i learnt alot, they have nice studios there.... i also did a tafe course at north sydney tafe in fairlight which is what i mainly work on.
i only really know about post-production but SAE is not looked on particularly highly, and certainly doesn't help get a job, but then again not many courses do. it's the old story of lots of work experience and having enough background technical knowledge and experience to able to take and opportunity when it's presented...
AFTRS do some really good short courses every now and then...
if you're going to learn any system, learn protools........

Yeah I'm in the same zone ... car dealer are all arsewanks, without exception.
The Mini Cooper and VW Beetle are both good for tall drivers. I'm 6'0" and had quite a few notches on the seat adjustment still to go, even after stretching it out heaps. The Beetle has telescoping steering column as well, which is great if you want the arms to stay relaxed on long drives. Heaps of headroom too.

yeah, the travel bug has bit me again in a large way after being absent for many years... the america's next northern hemiphere summer i reckon
i record on a relatively inexpensive setup, i've got a little DAT walkman which i think is a beautiful bit of kit. i used to use minidisc but got really frustrated by it, and for a mike i just use a sony ecm-ms907 which is good enough for my purposes and is cheap and small enough to use and abuse. i'd love to have something a bit better but for the moment this works well...
hopefully i'll get around to creating a water sound piece, i've been collecting sounds for a few years, with some distant idea in mind... but it'll probably never happen. you'll just here them in the background on mcleods fucking daughters
