hello

-splendour was massive, fun and completly debaucherous. i even had a little festival romance: we got together at dj shadow on the saturday, called it quits at the presets on the sunday, what more could you want from a festival.

- if you have ten minutes of your life to waste looking at a bunch of drug fucked people you don't know, i put...

my work got broken into on the weekend. none of my stuff was taken, just a whole bunch of laptops and LCD screens and things.... kind of amazing as i work at a fairly big postproduction studio and you would think it's a junky burgler's wet dream, racks of dvd recorders, speakers worth more than most cars, plasmas, and other cool stuff, but they take...

marni:
have you ever had a quiet weekend? you always seem to be up to no good, oh i mean, something! wink

that's rough about your work being broken into. it's sad when it happens to small companies. my place has never been broken into. i live in such a girly flat, the thieves would only be privy to clothes and plastic jewellery. everything we have is old or broken!

you don't know this but d and i broke up for a week, saw each other on-and-off for a month, and now we are taking a week off to really think about things because we don't think when we see each other. just between you and me, i think we are going to get back together, for real. i want to, yes, but sometimes i get mad about what happened. i guess that's what i have to think about.
yourname:
thanks and yes, i did get a new job.

and yes also, my work was broken into and they stole all the laptops but didn't touch the 3000 dollar G5 or the cheapie (i know!) LCD attached to it. it was the second time we were robbed in that building and the 8th for the building itself.

do you get the sydney community college brouchure? i do, and i always flip through it looking at the bizarre courses people do, and wandering what kind of people enrol in them. really, who enrolls in a bush walking course at sydney community college. its not hard people. you just go to the bush and start walking. you poor lonely people.

however i am now...

i just bought my plane ticket!!! the single most expensive (and indulgent) thing i have ever purchased. wanna hear my travel dates??? go on, you know you want to. I spent ages perfecting these, driving the lovely, bookishly cute emily from flight centre to distraction.

i'm going to San francisco first, just to check it out, and buy lots of records and chillout into the...

thanks! it was shot in august last year so i look different know, or at least my hair is longer. i was really weirded out about how my voice sounded on tv. i like the music too! last week's episode was good. they had a painter, fashion designer, performance artist, musician, photographer, and industrial designers. it's been a really surprising experience especially because i did the polaroid project for fun and didn't think anything would happen for it. i got two funny emails from people who watched the show. they both want to be friends. hehe!

i am so glad you got to see it. i am not sure if many of my friends remembered it was on. my flatmate got more messages about it than i did!

i am going to buck 65 too. you did say the same thing for sigur ros! look out for the short girl tagging along with a group of tall boys.

fashion, darrrling! ok i promise not to say that again. it is a neat little boutique tucked away somewhere in good ol' paddington. we used to stock menswear but not anymore. men just aren't willing to spend the dollars! that is too bad really, there is less eye candy traffic through the shop.

congrats on your screening! smile
marni:
i have news for you. do you have a tv? because that would help. july 7 abc 10pm.

it will answer all your questions about the polaroid project.

-ankle had a minor fracture, not too bad, but i had crutches for a day, but mostly it's an excuse to take more sweet sweet nurofen. which i only just weened myself off taking regularly about a month ago too. oh well.

-speaking of drugs, i've been flirting with pot again. i used to be a serious pothead, smoking cones (billies in the local lexicon)...

spend as long as you can, that is what i say.

it is easy to tell someone you do not like something when you are a girl. i just scrunch up my face and say "ewww!" and the person usually stops, overcome by cuteness. if that does not work for you, you should just tell her lightly like it is no big deal.

mah jong? yes! i have two weeks of tafe til semester break.
marni:
no. pout. i will be working retail and earning lots of dollars and designing my range [for the end of the year] instead. believe me, the fun never stops!

you made me cry. well, your comment did. we broke up last night.

there was a little thought at the back of his mind, freaking out about being over-committed. our relationship was so safe he didn't talk to me about it [which is so wrong] because he couldn't articulate it himself. i agree, he did this so something would happen but now the damage is too great. i think he got freaked out by the idea of moving to melbourne together [for his studies]. that is a big deal and commitment with a capital 'c'. i just wished he had said something first. i cannot stop crying. i know my situation is not unique, but it hurts.

hugs!
