Alright, so it's time for a long overdue blog post. So I'm getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow and I am not looking forward to it (mostly because everyone I know seems to have the most terrifying stories about their experiences with it) but I'm just hoping it'll be over quick. I'll try and remember to put up some pics of my swollen face for everyone's enjoyment.
Also about to start night classes again very soon, and NOT looking forward to it. Two classes, both are accounting classes; and if the teachers give 2 hours of homework to every hour we spend in class (which they usually do in Accounting classes) then I will have literally no time to myself except for the three hours out of the week I go to the gym....which brings up one other thing....
So I've become absolutely ADDICTED to Crossfit over the last year. Especially during last semester when I was in the same boat with having no free time that I didn't feel guilty about except for when I went to the gym. It was the one thing I could do that wasn't school or work related that didn't make me feel like some lazy piece of crap, and after one semester of this I began to treat exercise as a hobby instead of a chore. So now I really REALLY enjoy going to my Crossfit classes.
If you don't know what Crossfit is just google "Crossfit WOD's" and it will give you plenty of sites with examples of the workouts we do every 4 days a week. It's BRUTAL!!!! I was literally going to the gym a minimum of 5 days a week before starting Crossfit and still not being able to lose some of the pudge around my midsection. Then, after spending two days a week at Crossfit, I'd not only feel more sore, but I was actually getting leaner for the first time in over a year of going to the gym almost every day. Then I got even more results after starting the paleo diet, which is: no carbs, starches, dairy or (non-fruit) sugar; or just meat, fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds (or eating like the cave-men ate, hence "paleo") I usually don't jump on diet trends, but since this one is geared towards the way humans evolved to eat over 99.99% of the entirety of human existence (pre-societal/pre-agriculture) it really made sense to me. What's more, the results are INCREDIBLE! I've gotten SO lean without losing any weight (since I'm also gaining muscle mass).
I'm really excited about all this stuff because I never thought I could preform this well, or look this lean/strong EVER in my life no matter what. But the trainers at Crossfit just made me go above and beyond that. I took some pics cuz I'm proud of my accomplishments but I haven't put them on my profile because I feel like people will just think I'm a douche for putting shirtless pics up but I don't want to feel like I can't put them up just because people will think I'm some arrogant asshole when I'm just excited about all my hard work paying off......so after going back and forth about it, I decided I'm being stupid, and shouldn't let other people's (possible) thoughts effect my actions. WHich is a long winded way of saying this:
......please don't think I'm a douche :/
